A reminder that you can send your reports, abstracts or manuscripts to the Peer-Review Network where senior PhD students and Post-Docs can give you scientific feedback and proof-reading.

HGSS will fund two intramural teams at half cost, meaning it would cost 5-10$ to join a team.

The Quebec Expo Science is in dear need of academics to be judge at this friday’s regional science fair. The fair is at 11am at St-Luc high school, register here. High school students will be showcasing their ingenuity and creativity in science. They will literally blow your mind ! (Also great on your resume 😉 )
Just a reminder, if you are considered for the award, you must send proof of registration and travel purchase to Ross before next Tuesday 16th Feb.
If you had the award but cannot go, please inform Ross ASAP, there are people in the waiting list and the registration for the conference closes next Tuesday.
Just a quick reminder that the deadline for the Travel Award is tomorrow. Also if you want to get involve in the Peer Review Network initiative please let us know.
Don’t forget that tomorrow is the deadline for the Excellence Award. It’s quick to fill and worth a shot. Deadlines for the Travel Award (Jan 29) and CHGSM Travel (Feb 1) are also approaching.

Right now you should be preparing for Orientation and crossing fingers for the award lottery. Here is some quick links about HGSS :
- The Google calendar with upcoming events will be updated all year long. Feel free to import it into your personal calendar.
- The RSS flux of the website if you’re into that kind of things. Posts are usually about upcoming events or when new photos are uploaded.
- HGSS Facebook group.
- HGSS Twitter account. Honestly, not very active but it might change.
- The Exec team and Site Reps information if you have any question.
