Are you a bit confused about what opportunities you have to apply for funding? Have questions? Then come to our ‘Funding Information Session’ next Tuesday, September 3rd from 2.30pm in Stewart Bio S4-106. This is organized by HGSS specifically for Human Genetics students.
You will hear about awards and deadlines so you can prepare and apply for all the awards applicable to you. There will be information for both International and Canadian students at the MSc and PhD level.
You will hear from…
– A McGill PI who has previously served as a reviewer for FRSQ (MSc) and CIHR (PhD) award panels.
– The fellowship coordinator (at the graduate level) in the faculty of medicine at McGill to cover internal funding.
– A graduate funding officer from graduate services at McGill to cover external funding.
Please note: the main purpose of this session will be to inform students about funding sources (inside and outside of McGill) not to help them write their applications, as McGill holds this type of workshop already, see http://www.mcgill.ca/skillsets/node/85#WYFI.
Please find attached all the presentation slides and information tables used at the event.
Hope you can make it and all the best with your applications this year!
We would like to thank Dr. Aimee Ryan and Julia King for their contribution as well as Juan Pablo Lopez for organizing and chairing this seminar.
